Ops Insights #077 - Why I Decided to Treat AI as a Partner
Lately I have been getting a lot of questions about AI. Where do I even start? Do I have to be technical? Am I already behind? If you have wondered about any of those, I want to share a bit of my own AI story.
I started learning about AI in 2017, when it still felt like a black box that required engineers, data scientists, and technical trainers just to ship one model. When tools like ChatGPT arrived in 2022, non-coders finally had a way in, but the noise grew. New tools every week, experts to follow, prompts to perfect, “custom” everything. I often felt the same thing my clients feel now. Overwhelmed, behind, and burnt out before really getting started.
In 2025, AI shifted from “nice to have” to “must know.” That is when I decided to treat AI as a partner instead of just another tool.
Ops Insights #055 - From AI Headshots to AI Agents
It’s hard to believe a year ago I was presenting at the AASP conference and the latest and coolest thing to share was Ai headshots. I showed 18 headshots and asked the audience to pick the one photo that was not created using Ai. Only a handful guessed it correctly.
Fast forward to today and the latest mind blowing thing in artificial intelligence is Ai agents. We went from automation to Ai Automated to Ai Agents. 2025 is the year of Ai Agents. Live dive in to learn more.
Ops Insights #036 Debrief from Nonprofits Leaders Summit
Listening to the Microsoft for Nonprofits Leaders Summit was reaffirming and inspiring. We were given permission that it’s okay not to know all the AI right now and the stronger message was we have to come together to learn and be part of developing AI over the next 5-10 years. We have to step up together and take a hold of it before it takes hold of us.
